智能材料正在改變這個世界,財團法人塑膠中心近年投入研發,致力突破熱解膠、光解膠技術界面限制,將提高膠帶、消費電子與光學等產品附加價值率。

有鑑於智能材料於全球如火如荼的發展,以及國內產業的需求,經濟部技術處指示塑膠中心開發智能材料,以符合3C   電子、汽車、家用小型電器製品及醫療產品等各項重要產業中,因產品訴求的功能與應用不同而需要的接合需求。

 

為期四年的智能材料研究,塑膠中心已開發包括形狀記憶膠條、塑膠黏土等產品,預計於今年11月6日於台北空總基地舉辦交流會時同步亮相,讓使用者直接體驗感受智能材料的奧妙。

塑膠中心表示,智能材料能於外界環境刺激下,例如光、電、熱等,做出響應性的反應,誘發材料產生物理性質或是化學性質的轉變,包括黏滯性、親疏水性、耐衝擊特性及固化等特性,以符合產品需求之效果,這些特徵使其成為繼天然材料、合成高分子材料、複合材料之後的第四代材料,將可廣泛應用於多種領域,此為材料科學發展的重大改革。

因應3C電子、汽車、家用小型電器製品及醫療產品等產業趨向薄型化、環保等需求,塑膠中心以分子結構設計為核心,開發材料界面間的黏滯特性能夠針對外界不同程度的熱能刺激而隨之改變的調控技術,期望逐步取代進口產品。

塑膠中心也將研究透過光響應分子材料克服各類產品界面黏滯性處理之共同性問題,經由光源刺激控制材料界面之黏滯性,建立可見光與紫外光光源特定波長區間的設計對材料黏滯性特性之改變,解決需要高溫製程且塑膠基材長時間耐熱性不足問題,並將此應用於一般民生用途,包括車燈照明及消費性電子面板貼合材料等。
