According to the Food and Drug Administration of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, according to China's "Sanitary Standards for Packaging of Food Appliances and Containers", the compliance standard of dibutyl phthalate (DBP) for plastics in accompanying cups is less than 0.3 ppm (3 parts per million).
The TROLIGTVIS plastic accompanying cup that IKEA applied for inspection on October 2 this year detected 1.6 ppm dibutyl phthalate, which violates the relevant regulations of the Food Safety and Health Management Law.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced the reference value of the Tolerable Daily Intake (TDI) of Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) plasticizer in China
The TDI of dibutyl phthalate is 0.01 milligrams per kilogram of body weight. Taking a 70 kilogram adult as an example, the daily intake limit is 0.7 milligrams.

Yang Zhenchang, director of the clinical toxicology and occupational medicine department at Taipei Rongmin General Hospital, said that because of the addition of test solvents at the border inspection, high doses of plasticizer may not be dissolved under daily use.
However, if people use this group of plastic cups to hold hot water and drink 1000 ml one after another, then they are likely to drink 1.6 mg of dibutyl phthalate, which has exceeded the daily intake limit.

Yang Zhenchang said that plasticizers are not acutely toxic, but they can cause chronic toxicity in the human body over a long period of time. Long-term exposure or absorption of high doses of plasticizers may affect male genital hypoplasia,
Female precocious puberty, female breast cancer, and thyroid function are affected. It is recommended to reduce the use of plastic bags for hot food as much as possible. It is recommended to use plastic containers such as stainless steel or ceramics to go out.
