Differences between TPV and TPE

Differences between TPV and TPE

TPV

TPV (Thermoplastic Vulcanizate) is a stable elastomer by blending EPDM + dynamically vulcanized PP.

Material characteristics:

(1) It is non-toxic and environmentally friendly, does not contain carcinogenic substances such as nitrite and heavy metals, and can be recycled to achieve sanitation standards to conform to SGS certification and EU ROHS norms.

(2) Good aging resistance.

(3) Small changes in hardness in varied temperatures: applicable temperature range is -30 ºC ~ 120ºC. At temperature range of -20 ºC ~ 40ºC, the Shore hardness is less than 5A, which is better than that of traditional PVC and EPDM materials.

TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer)
The material is mainly a blend of thermoplastic rubber and other auxiliary materials.

Material characteristics

(1) It is non-toxic and environmentally friendly, does not contain carcinogenic substances such as nitrite and heavy metals, and can be recycled to achieve food sanitation standards.

(2) Good aging resistance.

(3) Small changes in hardness in varied temperatures: applicable temperature range is -30 ºC ~ 80ºC. At temperature range of -20 ºC ~ 40ºC, the Shore hardness is less than 4A, which is better than that of traditional PVC and EPDM materials.

(4) High tearing strength.
